Do you still remember the Sahara forest project? This project is as $ 5.3 millions finally signed by QAFCO, International Yara and The US Sahara Forest Project. The three are the state holder of that project.
The Project plans to change a part of Sahara dessert will are in Qatar and becomes a decent living home by utilizing the sea water for the greenhouses and create the concentrated solar power for electricity, produce the water, the algae and halophyte plants breeding facility which can live in the high level of salt along with other plants outside the greenhouses.
If this project can be finished well in the end of 2012, perhaps the same big project will make greener the Sahara dessert.(pia-surya/gsj/int/new)
